I wonder what are best practices for creative processes. I tend to agree with the "deliberate extreme" approach: Lock the door, unplug the internet and just focus until the project is roughly finish. Being a grad student, with hundred tasks to follow, does hardly allow for that kind of solitude. But I can see how the lengthy process is better for learning, the trial and error.
The problem with video is how every step tens to absorb more time than expected. Syncing audio and video took over a good part of the afternoon, just because the software could not deal with wind on in-camera audio.
